Breast augmentation is achieved by placing implants to increase the volume and projection of the breasts. The implants used can be either saline or silicone. The implants can be placed either above or below the pectoralis muscle. Dr. Healy offers three incision choices: inframammary fold (below the breast), peri-areolar (around the edge of the nipple) or axillary (under the arm). There are many factors to be considered for each patient in order to individualize and optimize the result. Contact Dr Jeff Healy about having a breast augmentation in Hawaii today.

One piece of advice you are likely to hear if you are considering plastic surgery is that it’s not something you should pursue for anyone else. It’s your body, and no one else is going to live with the consequences of your surgery in quite the same way as you, so if your motive is to please anyone else it’s time to reconsider. If, however, a breast augmentation really is something you want for yourself, then as long as you’re doing something for yourself, why not do it in Hawaii? Dr Jeff Healy is a board certified plastic surgeon located just outside of Honolulu.

There is a great deal of information to be had about cosmetic surgery without ever setting foot in a doctor’s office. There are doctors’ web sites, sites to help you find doctors’ web sites, sites to persuade you either to pursue or eschew cosmetic surgery, and sites whose only purpose is to explain the procedures and their purposes. All of this information is good to have, but there’s always one aspect that no web site can tell you about: the patient. No matter what you know about a procedure you may be considering, only a consultation and examination with your surgeon can tell what course of action would be best for you, individually.

There are widely accepted “norms” that are considered attractive, and then there is the wide variety made up of what is actually normal. For one who does not match up naturally with their preferred dimensions, modern medical science offers more options than ever before. Of course, each of those options comes with its own unique set of advantages and disadvantages; and which option is best depends as much on the person choosing them as on the benefits and risks of the options themselves. If you are seeking cosmetic breast surgery, be sure to consult with a qualified surgeon who specializes in cosmetic surgery and who will ensure that you know everything you need to know before you go under the knife.

As key elements in facial expression, the eyes convey messages of emotion, vitality, and age. Over time, the eyes undergo changes that often make people feel as if they appear sad or tired. In 2006, approximately 223,000 people had eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, to correct these common problems. The aging process can cause the eyelids to sag and droop, which in combination with bags and puffiness can make you look tired and older than you really are.

Growing older, they say, beats the alternative. Whether it’s true or not, it can be cold comfort as one watches the signs of age overtake one’s features. Blepharoplasty is, as surgeries go, a relatively minor procedure that can have a relatively major effect. Still, even minor surgical procedures have their share of risks. Be sure to choose a surgeon with the right qualifications, who will work with you by making sure you understand all of the pros and cons of whatever procedure you are considering. A board certified plastic surgeon like Dr. Gabriel will help you make the decisions that are right for you.

To make an analogy to body fitness - your home skin care program is your daily walk around the block! Without any home program, treatments we perform in the office will not be as effective and your results will not last as long. This is an easy and affordable way to ensure the maximum result for your time and money spent on office procedures.

A person’s skin says a great deal about that person, but how do you get yours to say what you really want it to say? With all of the skin care options on the market today, how do you know which is the right choice for you? A doctor could give you an educated opinion based on an examination and on knowledge about skin in general. A doctor who has personally tested skin care products before offering them might be said to have that much more to say on the subject. In point of fact, whatever your cosmetic or aesthetic goals may be, ensuring that you choose a doctor who is knowledgeable and experienced is one of the most important steps to reaching those goals.

Face lift surgery frequently entails an incision running from the jaw, up and over the forehead, and back down to the other jaw, where excess skin is cut away before the remainder is pulled a little tighter and brought together. In the right hands, the process can have the effect of turning the clock back a decade or more on the recipient’s appearance, which can then translate into improved self confidence (among other benefits). The catch is that, although modern science has made numerous and impressive improvements in the technology, it is still surgery, and you still need those “right hands” who know what they are doing.

There are a number of different mastopexy techniques that can be used to correct…ptosis. …[T]his is determined by the degree of ptosis that is present. The mastopexy procedures available to us today include a crescent mastopexy (for minor ptosis), in which the NAC can be moved up 1-2 cm to get it to sit even with the opposite side. Other approaches are the doughnut or circum-areolar mastopexy, vertical mastopexy and a more extensive inverted-T (also known as an anchor) mastopexy. It is important to understand that the more significant the ptosis, the more aggressive the mastopexy procedure will be. Some minor forms of ptosis can be corrected with augmentation alone. However, it is not uncommon that a combined lift-augmentation mammoplasty be undertaken to optimize the result.

A certain animated bat voiced in 1992 by Robin Williams in an environmentally conscious film memorably said, “Gravity works!” Most of us who have been introduced to the concept are forced to agree. Not only does gravity work in short-term and dramatic fashion, but its pull has long-term effects as well. It really doesn’t take that long for our best features to start acting like wax sculptures on a hot day. For most of us, the sag of aging skin makes its appearance well ahead of any desire to wear the ‘Droopy’ look, and for women who find their breasts making this southerly migration it can be especially distressing. It’s important to remember, though, that despite the increasingly common incidence of breast surgery, any surgery comes with risk. You want a surgeon who will ensure that you understand the risks you face and will help you make the choices that will serve you best in the long run.

Liposuction (also called Liposculpture) is the selective removal of fat from under the skin thru tiny “nick” incisions using a hollow metal tube (Cannula). Prior to removing the fat the area is infused with a solution containing local anesthetic and adrenaline (Tumescent Technique) to minimize discomfort and blood loss. Dr. Daniels has considerable experience with a variety of devices, including ultrasonic (Vaser) and power-assisted (PALS) devices and currently favors power-assisted liposuction for its precision, safety and reliability. Dr. Daniels feels that whatever device is used is secondary to the experience and skill of the surgeon.

It’s no substitute for diet and exercise as a means of weight loss, but in the hands of a skilled plastic surgeon, liposuction can put the finishing touches on the accomplishment of successfully losing weight. Fat cells seem to have an odd sense of humor, apparently finding humor in occasionally refusing to be worked off from the locations you most want them to leave. Sometimes, no matter how hard you work, certain bumps and bulges just won’t allow themselves to be worked off. By selectively suctioning out targeted fat cells, a qualified plastic surgeon can help you make that “last inch.”

Breast augmentation in Utah is a procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breast through the surgical insertion of artificial implants. This cosmetic procedure is available at the cosmetic plastic surgery practice of Dr. Berg, which is located in Orem, Utah. Of course there are women who choose to undergo this procedure in order to increase the size of their breasts. However there are other reasons why women choose to undergo this procedure. Some women wish to balance a difference in breast sizes, or to improve body contour, or to correct a reduction…
via www.drberg.info
Most breast augmentation surgeries use one of three incision sites (around the edge of the areola, along the fold under the breast, or the underarm) and one of two types of implant (silicone filled and saline filled). There are, of course, more subtle variations than these: the implant may be placed over the muscle, under muscle, or even arranged to be only partially under muscle, for example. Among implants, the shell may be round or tear-shaped, smooth or textured, and saline implants can be inserted empty and then filled by the surgeon, thus reducing the size of incision needed. All of these differences have their own advantages and disadvantages, not only at the time of surgery but also in terms of the kind of results they produce and the longevity of the results over time. An experienced, conscientious surgeon who will take the time (and put forth the effort) to make sure that you fully understand the benefits and pitfalls of all options, and then helps you select the best options for you is invaluable.

Heavy breasts can lead to physical discomfort, a variety of medical problems, shoulder indentations due to tight bra straps, and extreme self-consciousness. Incisions outline the area of skin, breast tissue, and fat to be removed and the new position for the nipple. Skin formerly located above the nipple is brought down and together to reshape the breast. Sutures close the incisions, giving the breast it’s new contour. Scars around the areola, below it, and in the crease under the breast are permanent, but can be easily concealed by clothing. With smaller, better proportioned breasts, you’ll feel more comfortable and your clothes will fit better.

Something else to be said for breast reduction surgery is that, unlike many elective procedures, the health benefits that can come as a result of reduction surgery can also lead to it being covered by your insurance. After all, one procedure that may prevent back, neck and shoulder strain compares rather favorably to the treatments you are likely to need once those problems surface. This does not mean, of course, that you can expect a free ride. You want to take the time to discuss your plans with your insurance carrier, and you still want to take into account the fact that surgery is never a risk-free endeavor. Always be sure you will feel right working with your doctor before you make any decisions about your surgery. The right doctor will be focused on helping you to safely reach your goals, and making sure you have all the information you need to make the choices that will be best for you.
